Welcome! My name is Blaine Hummel. I am an attorney and practicing mental health therapist in Texas. When I began the transition into counseling, I quickly discovered the lack of practical and straightforward instruction on law and ethics for mental health professionals.Ā Let's face it, we learned very little in graduate school about the law governing our professional licenses. So, I decided to take my 22-plus years of experience as an attorney and my love of teaching to create continuing education courses for my fellow clinicians.
